Funerals

Commemorating the life of someone you love is never easy but it can be an opportunity to reflect, laugh, cry, share stories, and even celebrate.

My own path to becoming a funeral celebrant in West Sussex has been shaped by my need to honour those we've loved with a fond farewell. I know that there’s so much to celebrate and how a well-crafted ceremony can bring people closer.

Whether you're planning a funeral, cremation, a burial, memorial service, or celebration of life, I’m here to help guide you through it.

We’ll meet in a relaxed, friendly way, with time to talk, share memories, and shape a service that feels true to your loved one.

I can write the eulogy, help with music choices, readings, and any personal touches that matter to you — whether it’s a quiet ritual, a favourite song, or a moment of laughter in the middle of it all.I

f you’re looking for a personalised funeral ceremony that’s warm, grounded, and genuinely comforting, I’d be honoured to help.

Forest

Before anything else, you need to know if I’m the right fit for you. We’ll start with a relaxed phone or video call -  a chance to meet, chat, and see if my approach feels right for your ceremony.

You might choose a traditional funeral venue, or you may prefer something more personal - a memorial service held somewhere your loved one would have felt at home. From chapels to gardens, village halls to woodland clearings, I’ll help you find a setting that suits the tone and the person.

If you're considering a natural burial, eco-friendly funeral, or ash scattering in a green space, there are more options than ever. I care deeply about sustainable choices, and I’m happy to guide you through what’s possible - from woodland burials to low-impact memorials that feel gentle on the earth and meaningful to you. If you have questions or want to explore ideas, just get in touch. I’m here to help.

Confirming the Booking

If you’ve decided to go ahead, I’ll send over a simple booking form and make sure your date is saved just for you. No fuss, no pressure - just a clear plan so you know everything’s in hand.

Capturing Their Spirit

We’ll have a relaxed meeting - in person or over video — to talk about your loved one and how they’ll be remembered. This is where the real stories come out: the quirks, the kindness, the moments that mattered. It’s the heart of a personalised funeral ceremony, and I’ll guide you through it gently.

Writing the Ceremony
With your input, I’ll write the eulogy, or you can write it. I will shape the ceremony around your loved one’s life. You’ll have time to read it through and suggest any edits. I can also help with readings, poems, and music choices - anything that adds meaning to the day. We’ll stay in touch by phone and email throughout, so nothing feels rushed or rigid.

On the Day
I’ll arrive early - usually about half an hour before - to make sure everything’s in place and running smoothly. You’ll have one less thing to worry about, and I’ll be there to hold the space with calm, warmth, and care.

Cost

Privately arranged ceremonies are £240, which includes everything mentioned above from writing the ceremony and eulogy to unlimited contact and support throughout. You’ll have my full attention, from first chat to final farewell.
If you’ve been referred by a funeral director, your celebrant fees will be included in their arrangements, so there’s nothing extra to worry about.
If you’re ready to talk things through or just want to ask a few questions, feel free to get in touch.
